Softlan 1L
Water softeners are an important part of many households, especially those with hard water. Softlan softeners work by exchanging the calcium and magnesium ions in hard water with sodium or potassium ions. This process is known as ion exchange.
Ion exchange is a process in which one ion is replaced by another ion of similar charge. In the case of water softeners, the calcium and magnesium ions are replaced by sodium or potassium ions. The sodium or potassium ions are then flushed out of the system, leaving the water soft and free of minerals.
Softlan softeners are available in a variety of sizes and types. The most common type is the whole-house softener, which is designed to treat all the water in a home. Other types of softeners include point-of-use softeners, which are designed to treat only the water at a specific faucet or shower head, and portable softeners, which can be used to treat water at a campsite or other location where there is no easy access to a water source.
Whole-house softeners are the most expensive type of softener, but they are also the most effective. Point-of-use softeners are less expensive, but they are not as effective as whole-house softeners. Portable softeners are the least expensive type of softener, but they are also the least effective.
The capacity of a softener is another important consideration. The capacity is the amount of water that can be treated before the softener needs to be regenerated. Regeneration is the process of flushing the sodium or potassium ions out of the system and replacing them with calcium or magnesium ions.
